PTC stands for Paid to click.
Paid-To-Click is an online business model that draws huge amounts of online traffic from people aiming to earn from home. Paid-To-Click, or simply PTC websites act as middlemen between advertisers and consumers; the advertiser pays for displaying ads on the PTC website, and a part of this payment goes to the consumer when he views the advertisement.
The viability of the PTC business model has been questioned, as fraudulent clicks have ramped up the expenses for advertisers. With lawsuits filed against the internet search companies, the burden has been placed on Google, Yahoo and others to determine the valid clicks from the fraudulent ones, although PTC site may just be used as advertising, to direct traffic to one's site. Moreover, many users registered in PTC websites are bots.
Even though advertisement is the most widely known method for PTC to stay alive, most of the profit comes from the direct sales of fake referals which are created virtually by the PTC owner at his will. To cover up all this scheme, PTC owners inject some normal ads from fictional advertisers thereby keeping the system running smoothly.
Some PTCs are also used to mimic mass human traffic which can help a botnet stay undercover and perform click fraud activity in 2nd and 3rd tier ad networks. Many PTC owners also pollute the ads with malware and botnet rootkits.
Scams although exposed on various PTC forums are still heavily used by new-comers who are drawn in to the websites by search engines. Scam PTC sites are known to attract new users with cheap offers for upgrade and referrals and disappear without trace after a short time.
I had made long research with these sites, and found they are most ethical sites.Here I try to give explanation about the sites in detail with pros and cons. If you are really interested with online bucks, you can try with the sites of your like.

3. Rented Referrals - I like this option, because if you buy referrals and they happen to be "non clickers" you can recycle them and replace them. Rented referrals have a return policy. If, within 14 days one of your rented referrals does not click any advertisement, you will automatically get your referral exchanged with no additional charge and for unlimited times.
4. Extra Password Security - They offer the option to have two passwords for someone to log in to their account. Also it shows "failed log ins". Lets say you tried to log in and you mistyped your password, it will show you once you log in the errors. Meaning if someone besides you tries to hack your account you will see it!
5.Paying on time! - Members from Neobux are being paid on time and according to the terms of service.
Cons
1. Click Bank Ads - I have seen one ClickBank ad being promoted by Neobux. Which is not too bad, comparing to some PTC sites. Most PTC sites will show nothing but clickbank affiliate ads. I am currently a standard member and I am testing the site from that prospective. So I do not know if there are more of these kind of ads being shown to premium.
2. Expensive upgrades - while it is free to be a member. And you can earn money as a free member, the upgrades are expensive. Which explains how the site is able to support "auto payments".
3. Starting out slow - When you sign up you will notice that you will not be able to upgrade or refer any people till you have used the site for a period of time:

1. Paying & On Time! - A great sign of a healthy PTC site.
2. They have a Forum! - All PTC sites should have this. Members should be able to communicate with one another and get help if needed. Also PalmBux has a chat room. For those who needs a quicker response.
3. Instant Payments - Once you make your request you will receive your payment instantly. All PTC sites should follow this model. Waiting for 30 business days is so outdated and should not be tolerated any more. You shouldn't have to wait for something that you earned. Thankfully PalmBux currently offers instant payments. Much like Neobux.
4. Ref Rentals - I personally like this option. At PalmBux you can purchase refs/members, and you can make earnings off of their clicks. If you find a ref is not doing their click you can recycle them for 10 cents. If you like the refs that you have, then when it comes time to renew you can keep them for 30 cents

2. Fake Ads & Self-Advertising - About 1/3 off all of their ads are self advertised. While researching this site I found 6 ClickBank ads. Not counting the Palmbux announcement ads. All 6 clickbank ads belong to PalmBux. Meaning they are showing their own affiliate ads and these ads are not from outside advertisers.
The way most PTCs work is a outside advertiser will purchase or pay the site owner to show their ad to you. Which is a good thing. What is bad is if there are no outside advertisers and the ad is being shown to you for free. A Clickbank ad does not bring in any earnings for clicks. Only from sales. Meaning, the viewer has to buy the product for the PTC owner to recieve any funds from showing the ClickBank Ad. Which is why most PTC sites fail. Especially if they rely heavily on Clickbank ads. Much like the PTC site bux.to. Which has 95% or more of fake ads showing.
Palmbux and Neobux are no where near that percentage of "fake ads" but be weary if you start seeing a increase of self advertising ads. Every time they show you that "fake" ad, they are showing it to you for free.
Note that Neobux does this as well. Which is why their upgrades/premium accounts cost so much. To make up the difference. Which I believe PalmBux does the same. Because Palmbux's upgrades are not cheap either. On Palmbux the upgrades can cost you anywhere from $70 - $850.
3.Whois Info is Private - Owner is hiding their identity.
Summary:
So for Palmbux as of now the positive outweighs the negative. We would suggest that if you do sign up to test the site first before you upgrade or make any purchases. If you are interested in a site that is like Palmbux and can be fully trusted we would highly recommend Neobux over Palmbux.
